The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel

I once attended a FABULOUS wedding at the Roosevelt.  it was gorgeous! it was open bar and the tray pass had these cute little hot dogs. i LURVE hot dogs. the reception was super fun, they even had a wii station!  the couple separated like 8 months later. :/

im not saying that’s the Roosevelt’s fault but that’s always what i think of when i go to there for a drank at my fave bar, the Spare Room!

on that super uplifting note, here’s some of what the Roosevelt sent me about wedding pricing. I’m only posting info I think is EXTRA relevant bc their .pdf comes with a ton of info.  The person i’ve been emailing with there is super nice and gracious so if you’re considering The Roosevelt, contact them! They’re very responsive. 🙂

LOLZ do you like how my priority is the bar?  I can’t post their menu/dining options because its about 15 pages long. they have a TON of options. You can do chef’s stations and heavy tray pass style eating option (prices vary) or you can do a seated dining menu (options ranging from $68 – $85)  or a buffet option ($70-90 – themed).

Here’s a quick breakdown for a wedding for over 140 guests on a Saturday (which is where mine stands):

Venue Totals (guesstimate) – $13, 450 – 13, 700

Ceremony Location fee: $2,000 for Historic Lobby
Reception Location fee: $10,000 for Oscar ballroom
Bartenders: $150 x 2 = $300
Servers: $150 each (not sure how many i’d need but i’ll just say 6) =$900
Security $50/hr (min 5 hrs) = $250 (sometimes a venue will recommend 2 depending on your party size so this could go up to $500)
Valet: $12 per car (sorry but i’d prob do a non-hosted valet! so you iz on your own here guests! pshh)

Food and drink (guesstimate) – $31, 846

Hors d’Oeuvres: there are SO many options. I’d probably limit myself to order 75 pcs of 5 different options ranging from 5$ – 7$ per piece. Thats like 2.5 pcs per person. so hmmm ill say it would cost: $2,175 + 22% service and 9% tax ($675)=$2, 850

Dinner: $75  seated dinner (with upgraded ‘duet’ option) per person x 140 guests = $10,500 + 22% service and 9% tax ($3, 255) = $13, 755

Hosted Bar (unlimited for 6 hours) : $75 x 140 guests = $10,500 + 22% service and 9% tax ($3, 255) = $13, 755

Champagne toast: $40 per bottle and i’m guessing i’d need at least 15 bottles = $600 + 22% service and 9% tax  ($186) = $786

Cake cutting fee (I didn’t find a cake cutting fee on the .pdf they sent.  I’ll just assume it’s 5$ per person. it’s probably more though!): $5 x 140 guest = $700

Total: more or less $45, 500

That’s just for the location fees, food and drink and some of the staffing.  You still need to factor in alllll the other costs too!!

YAY! now that i’ve done all that math for you, i’m gonna go reward myself a la Steven Tyler…
